Having reached profitability in our core market, we’re now scaling globally, with a strong focus on the US. It’s still day 1, come build the future of shopping with us! 💰 Our Finance team The Finance team ensures Joko's financial health and long-term success. We manage everything from financial planning and accounting to financing and cash management. We make sure every euro is put to its best use, working closely with all teams, we provide the insights and structure needed to scale efficiently. As we scale, we're splitting Finance into three specialized poles: FP A , Finance Operations , and Procurement . This role anchors Finance Operations — the pole that keeps Joko's financial information accurate, timely, and audit-ready. You'll report directly to Tanguy, our VP Finance . ✨ Why this role is special Finance Operations is a brand-new specialized pole at Joko — previously bundled into a single generalist Finance Manager role. You'll be the first person to own this scope end to end, with direct visibility to the VP Finance and real influence over how the function is built as the company scales past 200 people across multiple geographies. You set the standards, not just follow them: as the pole's first hire, the processes, controls, and calendar you establish now become the backbone the rest of Finance builds on. A true partner in automation: you'll work hand-in-hand with a dedicated BizOps partner to automate what can be automated — this isn't a role where you're expected to grind through manual work alone. International scope from day one: France, the US, and future markets — you'll help build the multi-entity, multi-country accounting backbone as Joko expands. 🎯 What you will do As Finance Manager, Finance Operations , your main mission is to own the reliability, timeliness, and completeness of Joko's financial information. Rather than doing the bookkeeping — we have an external accounting partner for that — you set the standards, drive the calendar, and hold your internal and external stakeholders accountable. Your responsibilities will include: Drive the closing calendar: own the monthly and annual closing calendar, holding our external accounting partner and auditors to a high standard; Own our legal reporting package: make sure the P L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement are always accurate and delivered on time; Oversee AP/AR end to end: keep invoicing, payment runs, and collections under control; Lead our international accounting build-out: as we open new entities and markets, including our IFRS consolidation framework; Own cash management: reconciliation, yield optimization, and day-to-day treasury; Be the main point of contact for our banking and accounting partners , and a key interface for auditors as we scale toward IPO readiness; Continuously strengthen and document our financial processes and controls , working hand-in-hand with a dedicated BizOps partner to automate what can be automated, making everything more robust and less error-prone as the company scales. 👀 Who we're looking for Experience: 4–8 years, with a strong foundation in accounting or audit (Big 4 or equivalent), ideally combined with in-house experience in a scale-up. Education: A master's degree from a top business school. A double degree in accounting (DCG/DSCG) is a plus. Financial rigor: Deep understanding of French GAAP and treasury fundamentals — you bring the same discipline to a closing cycle as you do to a cash position. International mindset: Excited to build a multi-entity, multi-country accounting backbone as we expand; IFRS exposure is a plus. Stakeholder management: You build trust with partners inside and outside Joko, and you're comfortable holding them accountable. Problem solving: You dig into the root cause and fix things. AI centricity: You use AI in your daily work today, and you're excited to help automate reporting and reconciliation as part of Joko's AI-first finance ambition. Languages: Fluent French and English. 💎 Our perks (Some of the benefits listed below are available to full-time positions only) At Joko, we believe that flexibility and trust are essential. Our work environment reflects this through: Flexible remote : If you live in Paris, you can choose to work from our office or from home with no constraints. You can work from most countries in the world for up to 3 months per year. On top of that, we offer plenty of perks: 💸 Top-market compensation 📈 Equity for everyone with the chance to own a piece of what you build 🤖 Half-day each week dedicated to leveling up with AI by exploring new tools, iterating hard, and sharpening your skills 🌴 Yearly offsite in amazing locations and budget for team-building events monthly in-person gatherings 💪 Contribution to your ClassPass subscription 🍼 8-week leave paid 100% for the second parent …and much more, check the full list here ! 🤝 Our hiring process Intro call: Quick screening with the Hiring Manager or the Talent team. "Finance hiring in 2026 often splits into a few distinct lanes. Employers may be filling accounting and FP&A seats that need clean reporting and close-cycle discipline, while also looking for analysts, treasury, audit, risk, and compliance talent that can work comfortably across systems, controls, and business partners. On broad finance pages like this one, the pattern is usually less about one specialty dominating and more about teams hiring for precision, judgment, and role-specific depth."

How to Land a Finance Role in 2026
Finance hiring usually splits into a few clear lanes, and your application needs to read like it belongs in one of them. For FP&A, corporate finance, and strategic finance roles, lead with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, headcount planning, and the tools you actually use, whether that is Excel, SQL, Adaptive, NetSuite, or Anaplan. For accounting-adjacent finance jobs, show month-end exposure, reconciliations, audit support, close processes, and reporting accuracy. For investment, treasury, or capital markets roles, put modeling, cash management, debt, liquidity, and scenario work near the top.
Titles matter less than proof. A finance resume that says "owned weekly cash forecast for multi-entity operations" or "built board reporting pack used in quarterly planning" lands better than broad claims about analysis. If you are targeting analyst roles in 2026, show the size and pace of the work: reporting cadence, planning cycles, business units supported, and whether you worked with executives, controllers, or operating teams. If your background crosses lanes, pick one primary story and make the rest secondary.
Your search strategy should be narrow enough to match how finance teams hire. Group openings by lane: FP&A, accounting finance, treasury, audit, tax, investor relations, and finance operations. Then sort by systems, seniority, and industry signals in each posting. A candidate with planning experience should not apply to every finance title with the same positioning. The better move is to mirror the team’s actual workflow, such as forecast ownership, close support, KPI reporting, or business partnering, and keep that language consistent across applications.

Resume Tips
For Finance Jobs, lead with the work that shows financial judgment, control, and accuracy. Put modeling, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, close support, audit prep, reporting, treasury, FP&A, accounting, or investment analysis near the top if you’ve done them. Name the tools plainly: Excel, Power BI, Tableau, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Hyperion, or SQL when they were part of the job. If you hold a CPA, CFA, CMA, or are pursuing one in 2026, include that early because it changes how finance experience is read.
Cut generic admin bullets, soft-skill summaries, and long descriptions of routine tasks. “Responsible for invoices” or “helped with monthly reports” reads thin on a finance resume. Replace that with scope, frequency, and output: what you reconciled, what you analyzed, what reports you owned, and what decisions your work supported. For accounting-focused roles, show close cycles, reconciliations, controls, and compliance work. For FP&A or analyst roles, show forecasts, dashboards, board reporting, headcount models, pricing analysis, or scenario planning.
- Weak: Managed budgets and created reports for leadership.
- Strong: Built a 12-month operating forecast in Excel, tracked monthly variance against budget across 6 cost centers, and delivered reporting used in quarterly planning reviews.
If you’ve used different resume versions for accounting, analyst, and finance manager openings, keep the wording aligned to the posting. That matters on ATS platforms such as Greenhouse or Lever, where job-specific titles, tools, and finance keywords are easier to parse.
How to Prepare for Interviews
Finance interviews usually split by lane, so prep should match the role family. For FP&A, corporate finance, and strategic finance roles, expect modeling tests, variance analysis, budgeting scenarios, and questions about how you turned messy inputs into a forecast. A common prompt is to walk through why revenue missed plan and what you’d change in the next quarter.
For accounting, audit, tax, and controllership tracks, interviewers often focus on close processes, reconciliations, internal controls, reporting judgment, and how you handled an error or unusual transaction. Treasury and risk roles may get liquidity, cash management, exposure, or policy-based scenario questions. Compliance-heavy finance jobs can include regulation, documentation, and escalation discussions.
Build 4 to 6 examples before you interview in 2026: one model you improved, one reporting problem you fixed, one cross-functional conflict with operations or leadership, and one decision you supported with metrics. Be ready to explain assumptions, tradeoffs, Excel or ERP workflow, and the business outcome without hiding behind jargon.
